These are my 3rd pair of Saucony running shoes. They are not at all as comfortable as the others. With my old ones I felt like I was walking on air, not so of these.

I've run only in Sauconys for at least a dozen years and the TR 3s fit well into the Saucony tradition. They're a slight upgrade from the TR 2, with more cushioning and support. They felt comfortable to me the first time I put them on--no breaking in required. I use these shoes for training and racing in 5Ks up to half-marathons. I agree, however, with the previous reviewer that the color schemes could be improved. At least the red and gray TR 3s are better looking than the brown and blue TR 2s!
They have my mom's seal of approval

Shortly after I had a major problem with my ankle, I saw a recommendation for the TR 2 model in a magazine at a doctor's office. They are well cushioned, very supportive at the ankle, and have room for your toes. I wish they had more colors available in more sizes, though. I found them so comfortable that I sent a pair to my 81-year old mother, and she feels much more stable in them than she did in her other similarly priced shoes. The physical therapist who treated my ankle injury told me to replace my shoes every 6 months, so I just upgraded both my mom and me to the TR 3. We are both happy walkers!
